Your Questions about Catering Answered

The current restrictions prohibit self-serve buffets. In order to continue to provide our delicious food in a compliant and safe way, we will provide additional staff to serve the buffet to your guests if needed. This service does come with an additional fee of $100 per additional staff needed. We also provide hand sanitizer on the buffet line and our cutlery is individually wrapped and sealed. We continue to monitor restrictions and adjust accordingly. Your safety and that of our staff is our highest priority, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Our caterer(s) will arrive approximately 30-45 minutes before your requested eating time. This time is also dependent on the weather and how many guests you are expecting.
Typically, our caterings run a standard of an hour to an hour and a half. All events are invoiced based on a reasonable time for personnel to be on location. If our personnel are delayed, customers will be billed appropriately.
All of our caterings are based on a self-serve buffet style, and as such we do not serve tables. Our caterers will set up the buffet, and will be onsite while your guests are going through making sure that everything is fresh, stocked and clean. Once everyone is happily fed we will pack and clean up the buffet.
We do not provide tables or linens. We recommend a number of rental places that can be found on our website here.
We do not offer coffee and tea as our personnel are not onsite until the end of the evening. However, we do offer soft drinks and bottled water as an additional cost option.
Yes we do! We supply disposable cutlery, durable plates, and napkins.
Both 7% Provincial Sales Tax and 5% Goods and Services Tax are applicable to all catered and pickup meals.
There is no set percentage of gratuities added to invoices. However, gratuities for our staff would be very much appreciated. Exception: For Sunday and Holiday events there is an automatic 10% gratuity added to the final invoice.

Of course you can! We would prepare the whole hog ahead of time and carve it onsite. There is an additional fee for this service.
Yes, we charge a round trip mileage fee from our location near Stonewall to wherever you are hosting your event. This is based on an approximate 60 cents/km.
Yes, quite a lot of our menu is gluten free! Our pulled pork, pulled turkey, smoked brisket, baked potatoes, mixed vegetables, baked beans and BBQ sauces (with exception to our pizza sauce) are gluten free. Our potato salad and coleslaw are gluten free, however, they are not made onsite and we cannot guarantee cross contamination.
All of our proteins are dairy and nut free. However, we are not a nut or dairy free facility and there is a chance of cross contamination with products that are not made at our location. We will do our best to accommodate any allergies the best we can.
We prepare all your delicious food before your event and deliver it piping hot and ready to eat with exception to our pork ribs and steaks that are grilled onsite. Our prime rib and whole hogs would be cooked off site, but carved on site.
Our desserts are an assortment of Nanaimo Bars, Carrot Cake, Butter Tart Squares, and Brownie Squares. We also have a Cheesecake option in a variety of flavours and a really delicious Deluxe Chocolate Cake!
The mixed vegetables are an assortment of orange carrots, yellow carrots, green beans and wax beans.
